What is Yoast SEO? It’s a suite of Search Engine Optimization software included with WordPress. It’s designed to help you work with search engines like google in order to ensure that your website has the best shot of appearing at the top of searches.
Well, skkra.net doesn’t need that crap. I’ve developed my massive and loyal audience purely via word of mouth, and with a meticulous posting schedule – daily since 2001.
Annoyingly, Yoast and its suite of tools like InsightMonster are embedded into wordpress, and they make the most aggressive, pushy telemarketer look tame by comparison. There are constant messages and popups that you can’t dismiss, and they’re always giving you SEO tips or getting in your face about viewing your analytics.
My god, what irritating software. It’s by far my least favorite part about using wordpress nowadays. I love you, wordpress, but jesus, let me shut all this crap off.
I don’t need to have these posts pop up on google, and I don’t need to see my visitor traffic. I already know what it is: a lot.
