First off, if you haven’t seen Arcane, then this is a spoiler fight, so stop reading now and go watch Arcane. It’s god tier.

I wasn’t going to include any animated fights, but I just couldn’t help myself with this one. This scene is gorgeous. It has perfect pacing, with bursts of violent fighting interspersed with some plot moments.
This is a great example of a scene that does good storytelling through the action. For example, when Vi turns her back on Sevika to take a drink, Sevika doesn’t attack her. It shows a weird sort of respect for each other, despite the fact that they’re trying to kill each other. They both have a lot of pride and honor, and want it to be a fair fight.
Props to both actresses here, especially Vi’s. There is so much emotion in the voice performance that you almost forget that you’re watching an animated show.
