Intronaut is an interesting band. They’re certainly metal, but I don’t really know how to classify them. I almost call it jazz metal.
The bass is very prominently featured, and plays a lot of jazzy counterpoint lines under the guitars. The guitars are very distinct, playing two different lead lines that have strange and interesting harmonies with each other. They’re piped exclusively into different channels, so if you just listen to a single headphone, you get an entirely different feel by only hearing a single guitar.
The vocals arent my favorite screams but in metal, but they’re fine, and fit the weird, desolate feel of this track well.
My favorite part is probably the middle melodic section. I absolutely love the bassline, and the weird echoing guitars just have this strange sad feel that works with that “desolate” feel the entire song has.
