This is a really, really weird movie. It stars Vince Vaughn in a very strange role, the plot starts grounded but quickly becomes ridiculous, and it’s very, very violent. It’s also stupidly entertaining.
This mashup doesn’t really give the fights justice, as the editing done in this mashup ruins the pacing of these fight scenes, but at least it gives you a taste. It’s worth watching the movies if you need to kill 2 hours while munching on some popcorn.
Vaughn actually gives an oddly good performance here in the fights – and again, the editing they did in this montage does it no justice.
The guy is just a huge brawler. The fights feel very realistic and very heavy. They aren’t long and intricate. They’re aren’t full of fancy dodges and parries. These are fights where two guys are just beating the absolute shit out of each other, and the pacing and straightforward brutality in the fight scenes really makes them stand out and feel different than the usual screen fare.
This is one you’ll want to check out… just be ready for an over the top and violent good time.
