I do not like Mudvayne. But god damn, I love this song.
I have to admit, the look of the band at this time is absolutely awesome. The bassist in particular looks completely insane, which I love.
This song has everything for a more pop-level metal song. It’s a great, tight riff. The bass is featured prominently and has a spectacular popped section that recurs throughout the song and is fairly famous. The drums are well produced, and kicks are fat and punchy, and there’s a nice amount of double bass in there.
I was kind of torn on the vocalist at first, but I’ve really come to love the vocals on this tune. He has a great growl, and the screams are shrill and cut through the mix without being annoying.
This song kicks ass, the music video kicks ass, and if you listen to it now, you’re guaranteed to have a kick ass day. Enjoy.
