Between the Buried and Me is a really difficult band to quantify. Is it metal? Is it prog rock? Is it just heavy rock?
At various times, it can be all 3 at the same time. BTBAM, as they’re often abbreviated, are known for very long compositions. The one I’ve linked here is a 17 minute epic. The songs go all over the place, and feel more akin to a jam band storytelling epic than what you usually think of when you consider metal.
They’re extremely unique, and so they need to be mentioned during Metal March. It may or may not be your thing, but it’s worth checking out to discover that for yourself.
